Junior Camps

CAMPS 2017-2018

Camps are one of the best parts of being in a ski program. It is an opportunity to learn and experience top level training with an environment focused on athlete development. Plus a lot of Fun! Our camps are planned to encourage learning and team building. We offer several camps, each camp is designed with an age appropriated experience in mind. As the athlete matures, the next level of camp is the next step. Here is a list of our annual camps:

Start-Up Camp

The first of May is the traditional start to the cross country athletes training year. We kick off the season with a two day, day-camp style training camp.

Date April 29 to April 30.

Girdwood Camp

This is the first dry-land camp of the summer. It is an overnight camp primarily for freshman-sophomore age athletes.  This camp is a special part of Alaska skiing history, Girdwood cross country ski camps have been held for well over 25 years!

Dates June 22 to June 25.

Eagle Glacier On-Snow Camp

Held at the Thomas Training Center on Eagle Glacier. This is an on-snow camp. Many Olympic and World Champions have trained on Eagle. This camp is primarily for junior and senior age athletes.

Dates: Boys June 19 - June 24 and Girls June 25 - June 30.

Camp is by invite only.

Hatcher Pass Camp

The second dry-land camp of the summer, athletes train from the base of Government Peak at the Mountain Streams B&B.

Dates Girls July 24 - July 28 and Boy August 8 - August 12.

Camp details will be emailed to program members.

Additional Information:

  • Athletes are required to be registered in the current session to be eligible for camp. Coaches will send registration link approximately three weeks before camp start.
  • Registration/waivers/payment information will be sent by email to program members.
  • Payment required prior to start of camp.
  • Camp roster's are often limited by van and bed space. If limited, priority will be given to members demonstrating readiness for taking another step in their training. Performance, attendance, ski skills, dedication, and attitude will be amongst many factors used.
  • Athletes are expected to have the appropriate gear for sessions.
