Get ready for some fall time fun with APU Nordic Ski Center as we host a community 5k fun run through the trails and bogs of Alaska Pacific University! Led by APU Nordic Ski Center Elite Team & Olympians, this run will test your mud tromping ability and adventurous spirit as you traverse through the Jim Mahaffey trails! This run is free to register (donations to cover costs appreciated!) and is open for anyone in the community to join. This run is a part of APU’s homecoming weekend, and we welcome back our APU Alumni and community to join us for this fun day.
What route will you choose – Mud or Forest??
The run will start at Mosley Sports center with a mass start. Along the route, runners can choose 1 of 2 courses: the bog or the forest! Each route will bring it’s own fun and adventure lead by APU Nordic Ski Center Elite Team & Olympians. Finish will be at the Mosley Sports Center.
Refreshments and a hose will be provided after the run.
Top 3 finishers of the bog run will win clean socks and top 3 finishers of the Forrest run will win Odlo Outerwear and bug repellant. Prizes will also be given out to the muddiest finishers and perhaps offered a hot shower in the Mosley Sports Center.
Cost: Free! Please register ahead of time here. Donations are welcome to help offset costs of the run.

A part of what makes Alaska Pacific University an amazing place is the environment in which the University resides!
The Bog & Forest run helps to celebrate homecoming weekend by welcoming back APU Alum and welcoming new community into our amazing trail system! A part of what helps to keep APU healthy, fit and active is our outdoors programs, Mosley sports center and Nordic Ski Center. As leaders and healthy heroes in our community, our APU Nordic Elite Team and Olympians will be leading the run for our community.
