APU Nordic Ski Center’s New Uniform Partner: Odlo

October 4th, 2021
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE :: Alaska Pacific University Nordic Ski Center Elite Team Announces Odlo as its Outerwear Uniform & Training Gear Partner.

The Alaska Pacific University Nordic Ski Center (APUNSC) began a decade ago as a regional Olympic training center for cross-country skiers. The program has developed some of the best elite skiers in the country including many Olympians, World Champions, National medalists, and the first U.S. Olympic Gold medal in Nordic skiing.

APUNSC has announced it is partnering with the European outdoor brand, Odlo, as its official uniform and training apparel supplier for the 2021-22 Season. With 75 years of Nordic apparel know-how, Odlo will provide the APUSNC Elite Team with the very best in performance base layer, midlayer and outerwear products.
APU’s Elite Team will be using Odlo to inspire them to build on the achievements of their 2020/2021 season when 11 APU Skiers qualified to represent the U.S. for the World Cups with 2 more local skiers joining the U20/U23 World Championships.
On the new sponsorship, Penny Smythe, APUNC’s marketing & communications specialist, said: “We admire Odlo’s brand, quality and range of items and are excited about having Odlo become an APU partner. Our skiers are made better when outfitted with proper gear to propel them froward. In an arctic environment, that’s even more important and as such, we revere our relationship with uniform partners.”
Adrian Cory, Odlo’s commercial manager, remarked: “Odlo is thrilled to be working with APU’s Nordic Team. The partnership gives us the first real opportunity to get involved in the sport at the grassroots level in the U.S. and I look forward to supporting APUNSC with all its fantastic community efforts.”
Odlo is already working with one of APUNSC’s finest, Rosie Brennan, who will have one eye firmly on Beijing 2022 as the new season looms large.
The Nordic kit Odlo is providing includes several fully recycled and sustainable products developed as part of the company’s commitment to the environment.
