2024 Rollerski Awareness Day Sponsor Tier Levels

Help support APU Nordic Ski Center and our athletes in training by sponsoring Rollerski Awareness Day! Rollerski Awareness Day promotes safety on the roads and trails of Anchorage for cross country skiers & Olympians in training during the summer months. With Rollerski Awareness Day falling on a Saturday, NEW this year is a Safety & Summer Activity Expo following the Rollerskiathon on the 1st. The Safety Expo and rollerskiathon will commemorate Rollerski Awareness Day and include all facets of safety and education for outdoor activity, helping our community to gear up for a summer’s worth of fun. All facets of safety and summer activity will be featured From bicycle gear checks and bike helmet safety to swim and life jacket programs, trail and wildlife safety, and of course rollerskiing! This expo will be free for the community and will follow the rollerskiathon at the Moseley Sports Center Parking lot.

Sponsors this year will have double the recognition and participation to make this a great day for our community and athletes.

 

 

 

 

7 APU Nordic Skiers will help kick off Period 1 of the World Cup this week for the 2023/2024 season! The APU skiers joining the U.S. Ski Team includes: Novie McCabe, Luke Jager, Zanden McMullen, Scott Patterson, Rosie Brennan, Gus Schumacher, and JC Schoonmaker. (photo above l-r) The additional athletes on the U.S. Cross Country Ski Team can be found here.

The first races will be hosted un Ruka, Finland from November 24-26. The team will then move onto Gällivare, Sweden for races from December 2-3.

  • Nov. 24 Men’s & Women’s Classic Sprint, qualifications-finals
  • Nov. 25 Women’s 10k Classic
  • Nov. 25 Men’s 10k Classic
  • Nov. 26 Women’s 20k Skate
  • Nov. 26 Men’s 20k Skate
